Brent did his PhD here in Nijmegen in the Physical Organic Chemistry department, studying how in vitro biomolecular condensates influence protein aggregation and folding. The project he is working on in the Kuijperslab will be focused on visualizing (early stages) of alpha-synuclein aggregation in neurons by using minimal fluorescent labeling strategies. Outside of work, Brent enjoys running, taking care of his guinea pigs, and playing video games.
